For the past several years, the Teach Greater New Orleans (Teach GNO) alternate certification program has been instrumental in making a positive impact in the lives of students in high-need public schools in the New Orleans area. We are proud to say that our program completers have helped answer the state's challenge to improve teacher quality and to ensure that qualified teachers are in our PK-12 classrooms.
Currently, the College of Education and Human Development at the University of New Orleans is revising and improving the alternative certification programs. At this time, we are not accepting applications for Teach GNO; however, we encourage you to visit the UNO College of Education and Human Development web site, where you can learn more about the many academic programs that are offered.
